General Product DescriptionBACTRIM DS TABLET is a brand-name multivitamin containing the active ingredient DS (Diuretic) that helps treat lung infections caused by bacteria. This medicine is used for the treatment of bacterial infections in the skin and soft tissue. This medicine is also used to prevent organ damage from radiation/ radiation therapy. BACTRIM DS TABLET is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children, as well as to treat lung infections (eg, pneumonia). BACTRIM DS TABLET is also sometimes used to treat chest pain (eg, angina) and to prevent you from losing a lot of weight (eg, due to thinning of your blood). It may be taken on an empty stomach, with or without food. Do not take BACTRIM DS TABLET if you are allergic to any component in it, or if you have ever had any skin reaction after taking any medicine, including any one of the medicines listed below.

Each film-coated tablet contains 1 mg of BACTRIM DS TABLET.The film-coated tablets are sugar-free, non-d%] ethanol.
BACTRIM DS TABLET is for oral use only. Do not use it on children under 6 years of age.
The recommended dose of BACTRIM DS TABLET in adults is 1 tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed, with or without food. Your doctor may increase your dose to 5 tablets every 6 to 12 hours as needed, with or without food. Use the dose as directed by your doctor. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If you are taking BACTRIM DS TABLET for children, you should swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water, or if you are taking it for the first time, crush the tablet and drink a glassful. Do not crush the tablet or the film-coated tablets unless it is necessary to do so from the film-coated tablet. Swallow the film-coated tablet whole with a glass of water.
